Peacocks? 🦚
The peacock has been the totem animal of our union since Josh and I first met, six months before I knew what Twin Flames were, and before I found TwinFlamesUniverse.com. At my old house, he found a preschool finger-painting on my wall that my niece drew. It was a peacock made of two hands splotched in the paint and pressed into the tail feathers’ shape.
Startled, Josh asked, “What is that?”
I replied, bewildered. “Oh, this? It’s my niece Everly’s painting.”
“Holy shit.” Josh let me know his daughter’s name was also Everly, a very uncommon name, and then he rolled up his sleeve. There was the most beautifully colored peacock tattoo on his left forearm. He had already adopted the peacock as his totem animal, but the synch of having it on my wall together with the shared name of my niece and his daughter held greater meaning. This is right about the time that our synchs were coming on strong.
Peacock symbolism. The peacock is a possessor of some of the most admired human characteristics, and is a symbol of integrity and the beauty we can achieve when we endeavor to show our true colors. The peacock represents Nobility, Holiness, Guidance, Protection and Watchfulness. Peacocks are also present in Hindu and Christian mythology. All of these traits are places in our union that Josh and are are mastering. The peacock guides us to reveal our true selves, to claim our nobility, protection, and watchfulness over our thoughts.
Biologically, peacocks are fascinating creatures. They eat poisonous plants that few other creatures are able to ingest, and transform the poison into beautiful feathers. This is what Josh and I do - we heal anything out of alignment with love (“poison”) using the mirror exercise. This only makes us stronger and shine more. We each have our unique way to do it. I’m more direct about it, and he has his own way to process his feelings.
The peacock we met
This week, Josh and I have been going deeper with Peacock Energy. The spiritual presence of a peacock has visited us and given us further insight into its meaning. It told us this:
“The peacock has eyes on its feathers distracting predators of the true being of the peacock in the center. This is a symbol for feathers of ego that deflect and distract the individual from the core, the true Self. Even with ego’s tricks and illusions, it’s easy to come back to the Self, and that is to feel your feelings.
The feathers are also a symbol for the illusion of Maya, and in particular, the illusion of separation from your One True Love, God, and your Twin Flame. Your Twin Flame, like the peacock’s body, is just right there, has been there all along, and the eyes of the feathers are just seductive illusion. It’s easy to love the bird in the middle and the feathers descend revealing a very sweet, loving creature that just wants to be honored and appreciated.“
Josh and I love peacocks as our spirit guides. Other people have guardian angels, intergalactic beings, or other spirit animals that guide them. If you’d like to learn a decree for calling in your spirit guides, below is part of this decree from my gurus, Jeff and Shaleia.
“God, I invite now the perfect Spirit Guides to enter my life. I promise to obey You in them and to hear them clearly. I promise to serve Your will through them well and to follow their direction in Your Name. And so it is.”
