Key 2: Trust

This foundation of trust hinges on one core element: honesty. Without it, the potential for intimacy, commitment, and the sustenance of your Twin Flame Union becomes compromised. To build trust, you need to be forthright about your thoughts and feelings, ultimately cultivating self-trust that counteracts the persistent fears of betrayal and uncertainty.

However, it's important to understand what honesty doesn't mean. It doesn't entail sharing every fleeting thought that crosses your mind without consideration. It doesn't mean unloading your emotional turmoil on your partner when you're in a heightened state of upset, when perhaps the wiser choice would be to seek space and regain your composure. Honesty also doesn't give you license to intentionally inflict pain on your Twin Flame by saying hurtful things out of anger, or using them as a mere vessel for venting frustrations that may have festered for some time. Instead, there are more constructive ways to address these issues, like the Mirror Exercise, which allows you to confront and resolve your inner conflicts.

I had to always first build trust within myself by surrendering my upsets through the Mirror Exercise. I couldn’t approach Josh without tact and wisdom. I couldn’t just share something crass or mean just because that’s what i was feeling in the moment. Trust is built through repeated action. If I’m honest, but not loving then it’s not worth it. Trust is build through infusing honesty with love.

True honesty, on the other hand, requires discernment about what you choose to share, without omitting crucial insights. It means courageously expressing your genuine emotions and the innermost whispers of your heart, even when it's likely to stir discomfort in one or both of you. Honesty entails approaching your relationship with a blend of openness and compassion for one another, acknowledging that uncomfortable truths may surface from time to time. It means respecting each other's honesty when it emerges and working through the challenges together.
